Document Content body { font-family: Arial, sans-serif; margin: 20px; line-height: 1.6; } p { margin: 10px 0; } DECISION No DECISION No. 34/2002/QD-BNNPTNT OF MAY 3, 2002 APPROVING THE PROJECT ON TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN PREPARATION FOR THE CONSERVATION FUND UNDER THE PROJECT ON DEVELOPMENT OF THE FORESTRY SECTOR – CODE GEF-PPG TF 050719 FINANCED BY THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITY THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 73/CP of November 1, 1995 prescribing the functions, tasks, powers and organizational apparatus of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 17/2001/ND-CP of May 4, 2001 promulgating the Regulation on the management and use of official development assistance (ODA) sources; Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 64/2001/QD-TTg of April 26, 2001 promulgating the Regulation on the management and use of foreign non-governmental aids; Considering the proposal of the Department for Forestry Development – Official Dispatch No. 182/PTLN-KHTH requesting the approval of technical assistance in preparation for the GEF Conversation Fund; At the proposal of the Director of the Department for International Cooperation, DECIDES: Article 1.- To approve the contents of the Project on technical assistance in preparation for the Conservation Fund under the Project on development of the forestry sector – Code GEF-PPG TF 050719, financed by the Global Environmental Facility – GEF, with the following major information: 1. The project’s name: Technical assistance in preparation for the Conservation Fund under the Project on development of the forestry sector – Code GEF-PPG TF 050719. 2. The donor: The Global Environmental Facility (GEF). 3. The agency in charge of the project: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. 4. The agency managing the project: The Department for Forestry Development 5. The project’s specific objectives: To assist the preparation for the Conservation Fund under the Project on development of the forestry sector with a view to sustainably managing forests and preserving biological diversity. 6. The project implementation duration: 10 months (from May 2002 to February 2003). 7. The total funding for the project: USD 200,000 entrusted by the Global Environmental Facility through the World Bank. Article 2.- To assign the Department for Forestry Development to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the Forest Ranger Department, the GEF, the World Bank and the concerned agencies and localities in organizing the implementation of the project according to the contents defined in Article 1 of this Decision, and to abide by the Ministry’s and the State’s current regulations on the management and use of ODA and aid capital sources. Article 3.- This Decision takes effect after its signing. Article 4.- The Director of the Ministry Office, the Director of the Department for Organization and Personnel, the Director of the Department for International Cooperation, the Director of the Plan and Planning Department, the Director of the Department for Finance and Accounting, the Director of the Department for Forestry Development and the leaders of the concerned departments and institutes shall have to implement this Decision.
