DECISION No DECISION No. 13/2003/QD-BKHCN OF MAY 26, 2003 PROMULGATING THE LIST OF MOTORCYCLES AND THEIR ENGINES AND ACCESSORIES SUBJECT TO THE APPLICATION OF VIETNAMESE STANDARDS THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Pursuant to the Ordinance on Goods Quality of December 24, 1999; Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 22/CP of May 22, 1993 on the tasks, powers and organizational apparatus of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (now the Ministry of Science and Technology); Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 147/2002/QD-TTg of October 25, 2002 on the mechanism for administration and management of the import, export, manufacture and assembly of motorcycles and their accessories in the 2003-2005 period; Proceeding from the Prime Minister’s direction in Official Dispatch No. 260/CP-KG of March 11, 2003 assigning the Ministry of Science and Technology to promulgate the list of motorcycles and their engines and accessories subject to compulsory application of Vietnamese standards; After reaching agreement with the Ministry of Communications and Transport on the list of motorcycles and their engines and accessories subject to compulsory application of standards; At the proposal of the General Director of Measurement, Metrology and Quality Control, DECIDES: Article 1.- To promulgate together with this Decision the list of motorcycles and their engines and accessories subject to the application of Vietnamese standards. The effective time of application of the standards is prescribed in the list promulgated together with this Decision. This list shall be supplemented and/or amended according to the management requirements in each period. Article 2.- This Decision takes implementation effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. Article 3.- The General Director of Measurement, Metrology and Quality Control shall have to organize and guide the implementation of this Decision. Article 4.- Organizations and individuals that manufacture, assemble and/or import motorcycles and their engines and accessories as well as relevant organizations and individuals shall have to implement this Decision.
