DECISION No DECISION No. 70/2001/QD-BNN OF JUNE 27, 2001 ON THE EXCEPTIONAL REGISTRATION OF A NUMBER OF PLANT PROTECTION DRUGS PERMITTED FOR USE IN VIETNAM THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT Pursuant to the Government�s Decree No. 73/CP of November 1, 1995 defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Pursuant to Article 26 of the Ordinance on Plant Protection and Quarantine, publicized on February 15, 1993; Pursuant to the Regulation on the Management of Plant Protection Drugs, issued together with the Government�s Decree No. 92/CP of November 27, 1993 guiding the implementation of the Ordinance on Plant Protection Drugs; At the proposals of the directors of the Plant Protection Department and the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department, DECIDES: Article 1.- To permit the exceptional registration of three pesticides and two fungicides in the list of plant protection drugs permitted for use in Vietnam (the list is attached herewith). Article 2. - The importation and/or exportation of the plant protection drugs issued in this Decision shall comply with Circular No. 62/2001/TT-BNN of June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the importation and exportation of goods subject to the agricultural sector�s specialized management under the Prime Minister�s Decision No. 46/2001/QD-TTg of April 4, 2001 on the management of the goods import and export in the 2001-2005 period. Article 3.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing. The Plant Protection Department shall have to provide detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the above-said plant protection drugs. Article 4.- The director of the Office, the director of the Plant Protection Department, the director of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department, the heads of the units, of the Ministry as well as domestic and foreign organizations and individuals involved in the management and production of, trading in, and use of plant protection drugs in Vietnam shall have to implement this Decision.
